Here we see the elusive Varsh in it's natural habitat....

Well I listened to the newest Muse album (entitled The Resistance) and...it's okay.  There are only a few songs that are really good or even sound like Muse in my opinion.  Now that isn't to say that the album is bad, it's just...not Muse in my opinion.  But, as the creative force behind one of my favorite bands of all time, they have that right.  Now, on to the good stuffs.  Unnatural Selection and MK Ultra are really good.  Sound like Muse.  The last three songs on the album are called Exogenesis Symphony Part I, II, and III (subtitled Overture, Cross Pollination, and Redemption respectively).  They...are...incredible.  The best Muse songs ever made in my opinion.  Even if you haven't heard of Muse, listen to these songs.  They are great.  Like...almost make me cry EVERY time I listen to them.  So epic.  Thats all for now.

The Varsh is gettin him an iPhone n00bs!!  It's going to be a COU (Company Owned Use) device so It's not like it's my personal line or anything.  But still...I'm getting an iPhone!  w00t!!!  Can't wait for it.  It was shipped Saturday so I should have it by around Tuesday I would think.  I'm stoked.  Iphone ready go!!!

Well, things are doing okay in The Varsh's neck of the woods.  Unfortunately Kay lost her job not too long ago so she's been trying to find a new one for about a month now.  The job market in McComb is pretty crappy so it's touch for her to find anything.  We're hopeful that she'll get something soon.  My job is going...okay I suppose.  It's getting tough being there so much.  I'm working 40+ hours every week and the retail environment is starting to drive me crazy.  I'm gonna look for another opportunity once Kay is settled at a new job.  Been with AT&T for over a year now so that in itself is a pretty big accomplishment seeing as how I've never had a job over 6 months before this one.  The only real issue is that the upper management never seems satisfied with the amount of work that me and my co-workers do.  But, that's part of being a corporate employee. 

Daniel is doing great.  He's such a great little boy.  Couldn't ask for a better kid.  I hope that I'm doing the best I can for him to be a father.  All I hope is that he learns from me and loves me.  It's a crazy thought to know that he's gonna be three in just a few months.  On the note of birthdays, I'm gonna be a quarter of a century old in about a month and a half.  Ugh.  I already feel incredibly old and 25 isn't gonna help that. 

Me and Kay are looking for a house to buy.  Probably in McComb but we're not ruling out a setting change to somewhere like Hammond or even Hattiesburg.  Obviously the job situations are gonna help/hinder that alot.  I would really like to get away from McComb.  If you've never been here, it's a huge blackhole of negative energy here.  You can feel it as soon as you get here.  It's like a blanket that just falls over you.  For instance, we went to North Carolina back in June (more on that in a few), and it felt great to be away from McComb but as soon as we got back the blanket descended on us.  It's just a negative place.

As far as North Carolina was concerned, it was AWESOME!!!  The best time I've ever had.  We really needed that trip as it came in a pretty tumultous time for us.  We stayed in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains near the small town of Bryson City, NC for a week.  We saw some amazing sights such as the Tuckasegee River and Charlotte NC.  I went on my first rollercoasters at a place called Carowinds.  I was absolutely terrified at first but by the time I got used to it, it was incredible.  The rush!  Man I wanna go again hahaha.  The cabin was by far the best thing about it though.  Overlooking a mountain ridge, private hot tub, beautifully furnished.  Man I miss it.  I woulda lived there if we could have.  And oh man, the rain.  It rained really hard and it was amazing.  Such an incredible sight.  Sheets and sheets of it falling.  Nothing like the rain you see in Mississippi.  There was one negative time though...we went kayaking down the Tuckaseegee River.  Baaaaad idea.  We were in a two person kayak and the Tuckaseegee is Class I & II rapids.  So...yeah.  We flipped, got spilled out, lost our flip-flops, I almost lost my treasured hat, we got stuck on a rock and thought we were gonna die.  Shitty experience overall.  Fun to say that we did it but, neeeeeever again hahaha.  We're planning on going to Colorado in the near future.  So that should be fun. 

Anyway, things are goin pretty good.  Stressful, but good.  I have a good life and a wonderful woman who loves me and a great son who I couldn't be more proud of.  So, from the land of The Varsh, take care, and I'll see ya soon!

So yeah, we're still here.  Just been workin and hangin out mostly.  Me and Kay have been playing Resident Evil 5 and it's pretty fuckin awesome.  Co op on a RE game (that isn't a shooter) is awesome.  Only real gripe is the standing still while shooting.  I know it adds to the tension and fear factor but still.  Daniel is getting so big!  And he's super sweet.  He says thank you and sorry and please and all the little things that make you just melt.

So me and Kay went to see a Sea Wolves game over the weekend.  And, as predicted, it rocked so fuckin hard!!!  It's hard to believe that it had been almost 4 years since I'd gone to a game.  It was Kay's first game and she absolutely loved it.  They played against division rivals the Gwinnett Gladiators.  I harbor some hatred towards them.  As some of you know, I worked for the Sea Wolves during the 2004-05 season.  They made it to the playoffs but were eliminated in the first round by the Gladiators.  So I was pretty pumped to watch the Sea Wolves whoop some ass!  The game started a bit rough for the Wolves as Gwinnett jumped out to a 2 goal lead.  But the Wolves responded with 3 unanswered goals and held a 3-2 lead into the late part of the third.  Then a flukey (and illegal) goal for the Gladiators tied it at 3 a piece.  Regulation ended and the 5 minute overtime was scoreless so it went to a shootout!  The Wolves goaltender was solid and the shooters put it away for the Wolves who won the shootout and the game.  Great fucking game.  Full of intensity and some big hits (including one huge one right in front of us).  No fights which Kay was kinda interested in seeing, but overall a great first game for her.  She had a great time and we will be going back soon.

On another note, much love to Jess for taking time to chill with us at the mall.  It was great to see you again Jess!!!  We'll have to run over to H-burg at some point and hang at Turtle Creek sometime!  Take care everyone!  Later!!!

So yeah, the holidays are over. Work has returned to somewhat normalcy for me and Kay. Lots less traffic and stress. Christmas was fun, Daniel was really excited to get all his presents. Especially The Polar Express movie. It's basically a movie about a train. And Daniel is all about that.

Playoff football is here! I'm pretty excited about that except for the fact that The Saints aren't in the playoffs. But oh well. I miss being able to watch hockey on TV. The only time I can watch it is at like 2 AM on FSN. And by then I'm asleep. But it's cool cause me and Kay are gonna go see a Sea Wolves game soon!!! w00t!

And speaking of me and Kay, we've officially set a date. May 16th is when we're getting married. I'm...ecstatic is the closest word to what I'm actually feeling. It feels like everything in my life has led up to this point. Well I had my birthday party last night. And it rocked! Big thanks to Kay (of course), Joe, Roy, Dwayne, Dakota, Stephen, Lindsey, Ish, Jon Jon, Allyson, and Cody. They made the party rock harder than Amadeus! Much drinkage abounded. The party was good. Only a few were left standing at the end. Me, Kay, Dakota, and Dwayne. I'm super hung over but it's all good. Don't have to get the kid until tomorrow. Yay! Also I beat MGS4!!! Now I'm waiting on NHL 09. To pass the time I'm gonna play MGO! Woooo! Byyyeee!!!

The Varsh has returned to the internets! How's everyone been? I have super amounts of internet now so I can keep in contact with everbody. Me and Kay and Daniel are doing great. I have a PS3 now!!! My birthday is Monday and I was able to get it for an early present. I have MGS4 and it makes my pants tighter!

Sooo anyway, my job is bitchin. For those who don't know, I work at AT&T now. I sell cellphones! And Dish Network! And home phone! And DSL! And I make monies off of it! w00t for me! Kay is working at the UPS store around here. She really likes it. She's only been there two months and they gave her a fucking raise. I wish I had a raise. But oh well. The trailer is looking nice. We finally got a couch. And caaaaahhble!

So I've started at AT&T Mobility. I like all the people and everything but I hate what I'm doing right now. I have three weeks of computer based training. All of you have had to deal with that crap. Sit in front of a computer, read, take quiz, pass, repeat. THREE WEEKS OF IT!!! There is a couple of upsides to it however. One is that this Friday, next Friday, and the Friday after I go to Mobile Alabama to take a training class. I have a $92 Comfort Inn Suite room all to myself and Kay can come too!!! Not to mention I could go to a Mobile Bay Bears (AA baseball club in Mobile) game so that promises to be lots "o" fun. Also, the last paycheck I get in September will have my MAX amount of commission on it...without me even having to sell a damn thing! Bwahahahaha!!!

In other news, Kay started work at a UPS store after leaving Ruby Tuesday's (where she worked for a whole year). She enjoys it, especially compared to Ruby's. We're gonna scrape by with rent this month but soon after that we'll be straight money wise. We'll be getting a PS3 (MGS4 for Mitchellness!!!) an HDTV, another computer, and probably starting SOLAR (Josh! Laura! this means you guys!).

Daniel is almost 19 months old. I'd like to say he's the perfect little boy and never does anything wrong...but I'm not gonna. He's starting to push his boundaries with momma and dadda. It's pretty groovy being a parent though. I don't suggest you do it unless you have lots of moneys however.

I'm also looking forward to football season a bunch. The Saints (after that shitty year last time) are looking pretty solid. And MSU is actually looking to compete in the SEC!?!?!?!?! Shocking! But they did pretty good last year. It's good to see Sylvester Croom's hard work finally paying off.

Let's see, let's see, what else have I done that's noteworthy... Oh yes, I went to a concert a while back. Got to see Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, and Atreyu. They all rocked my socks off and didn't give them back. Especially Atreyu. They were the best in my opinion. Aaaaaaaaaand...that's about it. Oh, got reeeeeally drunk this past weekend. Like really drunk... Just FYI for those who care, shooting Jose Cuervo, Jack Daniels, and Grey Goose all night = pukey hangovery doom!!! But all in all it was fun...I think...can't remember too clearly.

Hey everyone. Still here. Still alive. Still scraping by for the moment. I start a new job at AT&T Mobility today making 10.23 an hour plus what I'll get in commission for selling teh cell phones. Kay and Daniel are doing good. For those of you who haven't met them I hope to be rectifying that soon. With increased cash flow comes more freedom to do fun stuffs (SOLAR finally!). Well everyone, it's The Varsh again just checking in to see how everyone's been doing and let ya'll know what's up with me. Me and Kay and Daniel are all doing well. As soon as we move into our own place, I'm gonna get fottergrafs so anyone who hasn't seen them yet will be able to. As for me...

1. I'm looking for a job in this hellhole that is McComb.
2. Me and Kay are slated to get married next year in the spring sometime.
3. Daniel is almost a year old. (That is some crazy shit right there)
4. I'll be getting a car here in a few months. That is if my parents give it to me.
5. I just finally watched 300 last night. I don't know why I waited this long to watch that movie. Action, sex, action, more action, action, death, action, awesomeness, action, death, super death, action, little plot, action, super mega death, end of movie. Awesome.
6. I've yet to play GH3 which saddens me, but it won't be long until I play it.
7. I'm currently jamming on the combined efforts of NCAA Football '08 and Madden '08.
8. Also, for all you FF Tactics fans, check out a game on the DS called Hoshigami Remix. It's pretty much exactly like Tactics but with a few subtle differences. I really dig it.
9. For anyone who hasn't read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, I highly suggest that you do it. It has changed my perception on the world and my faith. For those who have read it, good on ya.
10. I plan on getting back to SOLAR in November. That is if I can find a fucking job. (See #1)
